MORE than 200 adults and youngsters flocked to a Southampton school last weekend to learn more about city family organisation SureStart.
The fun day at St John's Infant and Nursery School, Castle Way, included football training from the Saints in the Community team, a pupil maypole dance, face-painting, games and craft-making.
Staff from Central SureStart, which operates in Northam, Newtown, Nicholstown and Golden Grove, were on hand to tell young mums about their family support network.
Head teacher Maureen Good added: "We're working with SureStart to promote its work with families, and also introduce new people to the school. It's been a successful day and we've had hundreds of people through the doors."
