THOUSANDS of visitors made their way to Southampton's Guildhall to discover a world of jobs, training and career opportunities at the Southern Daily Echo Job Scene The Roadshow supported by Power FM.
The Daily Echo and organisers TJW Exhibitions were delighted with the response from exhibitors and many re-booked their stand onsite for the next roadshow taking place at the same venue on October 7, 2004.
"A great interest has been shown in the apprenticeship scheme. We saw a variety of people both young and old showing great enthusiasm for training and personal development. A worthwhile event," said Paul Godber of Southampton City College.
"We saw a good flow of people interested in what we have to offer. It's good to talk to people face-to-face to give the 'personal touch'. It was an eventful and useful day," said Gill Spencer, recruitment services manager of British Gas.
"A very busy exhibition with a lot of able and interested people who will be a great asset to our schools," said a consultant from the Teacher Training Agency.
