A SOUTHAMPTON business partnership that featured in last night's Risking It All TV programme on Channel 4 say they do not regret letting the cameras into their lives.
More than 150 hours of filming was condensed into last night's one- hour programme - and overall Geoff Sim and Chrissie Bolger were happy with the finished result.
The show chronicled the launch of their salon No More Blue in the former Gilbert bookshop in Portland Street, Southampton - and all the ups and downs involved along the way.
"Generally speaking I am not unhappy with the programme - the salon came across as quite an exciting place, I think.
"They had a remit to make the programme as 'attractive' as possible and I have had a lot of positive feedback.
"From a personal point of view I wanted it to raise our profile and I think it will do that," he said.
The programme, which tracks people determined to follow their business dreams, followed Chrissie and Geoff as the modest project snowballed into a £500,000 venture.
"There was a lot more planning that went into setting up the business than they showed in the final programme. And there are safeguards in place that weren't truly reflected in the show," said Geoff.
"Everything is coming together for us now but it does take time.
"When we decided to open an Aveda salon in Southampton we thought people would flock to us straight away but it takes a while before people realise you are there."
