RESIDENTS of all ages took part in a range of track and field sports at the Olympics-style event, organised by Southampton City Council Sports Development Team and Thornhill Deal for Communities.
Fully-qualified sports coaches were on hand at the event, at Thornhill Primary School, to teach a range of sports including javelin, shot put and sprinting.
The Thornhill Games helped celebrate the day that London's official bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games was submitted.
