Eastleigh'S popular Shopmobility scheme has four new scooters.
The streamlined machines will help the less able to access shops and facilities in the town, and a roomy carrying capacity should mean that shopping becomes much easier.
For those people who would prefer some assistance walking, a new aid has been added. The newcomer is a smart, four-wheeled walker, which boasts a carrying basket and a seat for when the going gets tough.
All the scooters and chairs are available for a small hire charge from the Shopmobility office in Wells Place.
The scheme - run under the umbrella of Eastleigh Community Services and part-funded by Eastleigh Council - is available to anyone who finds it difficult to get around the town.
