PERCY'S plant sale: Tomorrow, at Broadlands, Old Reading Road, from 10am.
LODDON Sports Tournament Weekend: This is next weekend, May 22 and 23.
On Saturday, the tournament features other clubs from the district, while on Sunday the "in-house" event is where each club member takes part.
Go along and enjoy a festival of football on our village green.
NWR conference: This was reported on last week, when Natalie, Pauline and Liz gave a presentation.
Natalie said: "The conference was called 'Welcome to the Women of the World', and was held at Swansea University in April.
"We enjoyed talks by Jen Jones (quilting), Marion Harvard (environment) and Kay Hailes talked about Children of Chernobyl, a charity that provides holidays for the children and is building a hospice in Minsk."
She added: "We also enjoyed Welsh cakes and trips around the Gower."
DAYS Gone by: A treasure-trove of antiques welcomed guests to the latest fundraiser for St Michael's Hospice.
Sherfield Oaks Golf Club hosted the evening on April 28, where antiques expert Pat Dyer and 60 guests examined articles, and tried to guess their purpose and value!
The evening ended with a supper of bangers and mash, and the trio Perfectly Marvellous sang songs from the shows.
Thanks to all who gave generously and helped the evening to be a success, including Graeme White, from the club, and Tina Taplin.
ANNUAL parish meeting: On Friday, May 21, in the village hall, at 8pm.
