ANNUAL parish meeting: At the meeting on April 23, Cllr John Ferguson, chairman, spoke of problems at the railway and advised in the interest of safety that the level crossing should not be entered until the exit is clear.
The problem of litter is always of concern and kept under review.
The chairman expressed delight that in the last 12 months, progress had been made on a club for the young people with the support of WPc Mandy Jewell. A possible venue is Clift Meadow and pavilion.
The chairman spoke of the immense amount of work for the parish council to produce a newsletter twice a year and of difficulties with delivery. He appealed for a volunteer organiser to help.
There had been changes on the council - Owen Price had stood down and Hugh Tottenham had been co-opted.
PARISH council: The next meeting is on Monday, at 7.30pm, in the village hall.
