In conjunction with the Government's health consultation exercise, representatives from Mid Hampshire Primary Care Trust were out in Andover's Chantry Centre on Saturday asking vital questions of shoppers.
They included would shoppers support a ban on smoking in all enclosed public places and should the Government provide concessions for gym membership.
Denise Yelverton, communica-tions manager for the trust, said: "It went really well! More than 130 people filled out questionnaires while lots were asking for other information about how to get themselves healthier."
The Government wants to tackle the major health problems like obesity, binge drinking and sexually transmitted diseases.
They can only do this by finding out what local people believe would help them choose healthier lifestyles.
