FEMALE fitness fans worked up a sweat at a massive aerobics session to raise money for Southampton General Hospital's breast cancer unit.
Sixty women together with six children and six men, pictured, took part in the energetic event at West Totton Community Centre.
Most participants were sponsored to do the two-hour stint - although some made a donation instead.
Their workout raised about £5,100, which will be presented to Wessex Cancer Trust's breast care trust fund once all monies have been collected.
Organiser Linda Hassall, who teaches aerobics at Romsey School, said: "A big 'thank you' goes to everyone who took part; it was a fantastic effort."
Linda, 42, of Calmore, stages a sponsored aerobics workout every couple of years. Since the mid-1980s, she has raised more than £20,000 for various local charities.
Thanks went to staff at The Player's Rest cafe-bar next to the community centre, who stepped in to pay the cost of the hall hire.
