Despite the wet and cold weather on Saturday, the Andover Tennis Club held a successful Open Play Day with over 130 children attending the coaching sessions in the morning and many visitors, both adult and junior turning up to play in the afternoon.
The youngsters enjoyed the challenge of hitting tennis balls propelled by the ball machine and also competed enthusiastically for the many prizes and free gifts on offer during the day.
Long rallies with the coaches, target shooting and knock-out games were all part of the fun during the morning and the rain did nothing to dampen the youngsters' spirits.
