COWES Sports secured the Sydenhams Wessex Combination Cup with virtually the last kick of the match against Eastleigh at Grigg Lane.
With the score still goalless and a penalty shootout looming, substitute Shaun Taylor crossed into the box and when a defender sliced against his own post, Giancarlo Giancovich was there to sidefoot home to give Paul Sleep's side a last-gasp 1-0 extra-time victory.
Although the Cowes team comprised mainly teenagers, three 'old timers' played a key role in their first Combination Cup success - centre back Steve Quarmby, 37, sweeper Vic Saunders, 36, and striker Lawrence Edmonton, 34.
The trophy was presented by SWL vice-chairman Ray Barnes.
