CHINEHAM Library: The experimental cultural evening at Chineham Library went well.
There was a full house to listen to Peter Searles' tales about his travels in Peru, having been through a whole host of bizarre experiences before even getting there.
The enthusiasm displayed suggests that it is likely that further similar mould-breaking events will take place at the library in the future.
Chineham Library will be hosting a series of internet-based events on Monday, May 17, as part of National Silver Surfers' Week and Adult Learners Week.
More details soon.
ANNUAL Parish Assembly: Monday sees the annual parish assembly at Chineham Village Hall.
It is an opportunity for all residents to go along and hear a brief report from the chairman of the parish council covering the last 12 months of parish council activities in Chineham. The meeting starts at 7pm in the village hall committee room.
EVENTS: On Monday, a bingo session is being held at the village hall, starting at 8.30pm.
On Tuesday, there is a bingo session for senior citizens, at 2pm.
On Wednesday, the fellowship group meets at Christ Church, at 9.45am.
POLLING: This has been delayed from early May to June 10, to coincide with the elections for the European Parliament.
