A LEADING New Forest tourist attraction will open to the public tomorrow for the first time in six months.
Historic Eling Tide Mill will celebrate National Mills Weekend by welcoming its first visitors since it closed just before Christmas last year. The 18th-century building, said to be the only one of its type in the UK, is owned by New Forest District Council.
Council chairman John Hutchins said: "Totton and the New Forest are fortunate to have a world treasure right on their doorstep.
"The mill is one of only a few surviving tide mills in the world still producing flour and we're proud to be associated with such traditional technology.''
David Blackwell-Eaton, the mill's manager, said: "It's great that the mill is going to be open for business again.''
The building will be open between 10am and 4pm tomorrow.
