EVERSLEY cricket Club will once again be entertaining Hampshire's stars as part of the Howzat Appeal on Friday, July 16.
The tradition of prestigious benefit matches at Eversley goes back to the early 1960s with visiting stars such as Fred Trueman and Roy Marshall.
In more recent times David Gower, Mark Nicholas and the great Malcolm Marshall have graced the fixture, as well as celebrities including Rory Bremner and Robin Askwith.
This year's game promises to be very special as Shane Warne is back in the Hampshire line-up and there will also be a chance to see Australian one-day star Michael Clarke.
Former England players John Crawley, Alan Mullally and Shaun Udal are also expected to be making the trip to Eversley.
Last year, Robin Smith's testimonial was attended by a large crowd who enjoyed glorious sunshine and terrific cricket.
Eversley excelled in the field, reducing Hampshire to 51-4 after some excellent bowling from Louis Piso, assisted by some outstanding catches, before fine batting from Smith (66) and Will Kendall (78) saw Hampshire reach 253 all-out.
With a couple of overs to go, Eversley were still in contention, but two wickets in the final over saw Hawks home by 16 runs.
There will be a full day's activities at Eversley Cricket Club culminating in the match, at 2pm.
Festivities will begin before lunch and will take the form of a player's reception plus hospitality marquee with corporate and individual facilities available at £50 per head.
There will be a beer and wine tent, on-site snacks available and other stalls and entertainment for all the family, throughout the afternoon and evening.
The testimonial flyer draw will take place during the post-match presentations with some great prizes on offer.
There is also the testimonial booklet and, for those in the hospitality marquee, there is an auction and raffle prizes.
The club is confident of topping the numbers who turned out for Robin Smith's event, with more than 300 enjoying the hospitality marquee's atmosphere.
There are a number of great sponsorship opportunities available.
