Havant & Waterlooville's reserves last night wrecked Winchester City's hopes of a quartet of silverware.
Two days after collecting the Sydenhams Wessex championship trophy, the FA Vase finalists were dumped out of the Russell Cotes Cup semi-final 3-2 in front of a 118 crowd at Westleigh Park.
With one eye fixed on Wednesday's must-win Dr Martens Premier Division trip to Newport County, the Hawks fielded only three recognised first-team players - Dave Town, Chris Ferrett and Dean Blake.
City, meanwhile, played a reasonably strong side spearheaded by their big four of Lloyd Webber, Gary Green, Ian Mancey and Andy Forbes.
It was Mancey who opened the scoring on 38 minutes after Forbes had shot against the keeper. Three minutes later Town equalised with an excellent volley when City fell asleep at a short corner.
Hawks nosed ahead soon after the break as Dan Turner headed home Blake's corner and ex-Saint Blake made it 3-1 on 69 minutes from Ferrett's flag-kick.
City made plenty of second-half chances but drew blanks until Mancey turned and fired from the edge of the box with five minutes remaining.
Winchester's next game is the SWL Cup final against Bemerton next Monday (3pm) at Lymington & New Milton FC.
Hawks now meet Christchurch in the RCC final at Hurn Bridge next Wednesday.
