Hampshire's golfing professionals have revenge on their mind when they take on their amateur counterparts at Blackmoor next Sunday.
When the county's top-ten amateurs met their Hampshire PGA rivals in the inaugural challenge match last year, the amateurs caused a minor sensation by winning it.
It was a close affair, though, with the amateurs clinching victory in the last match on the last green.
Hampshire PGA secretary David Wheeler says that the pros are really up for this one and HPGA captain Guy Shoesmith has picked a team that includes three former European Tour campaigners in Scott Watson, Kevin Saunders and Mark Treleaven.
The other six players - Jon Barnes, Steve Clay, Andrew Cloke, James Pitcher, Jon Le Roux and Gary Stubbington - are all proven winners.
County captain Kevin Weeks is without Mark Thistleton, third finisher in the Hampshire Hog. He's away playing in the Lytham Trophy, but the amateurs again have a strong line-up including Ryan Henley, Martin Young, Jon Young, Shaun Justice, Chris Kilgannon, Richard Ramskill, Tim Markwick and Gavin O'Neal.
Pinflag Golf, new and innovative fundraising consultants based in Alresford, are sponsoring this year's event, which tees off at 10.30am.
