Sir.-At Basingstoke hospital, I have met many nurses and support workers.
I have had conversations with many of them. A majority are foreigners from around the world.
One over-riding answer from them, forcibly struck me. I asked them where they were residing, and most of them were housed in Basingstoke.
My second question involved Basingstoke: "Where otherwise would they like to have been?"
The reply: "I love Basingstoke. The people are so kind, I am happy here."
This answer was typical, I commend the people of Basingstoke, and its council for achieving harmony for all in the area, a blending to be applauded.
-I Tipper, Basingstoke.
