CURRY lovers alert: Anyone keen on a curry is in for a treat at the community centre soon.
The first of the community association's members-only nights is planned for Friday, May 7, and its a Beer and Curry Night.
Real ale and lager will be on tap as well as a delicious meal, and the £10 ticket will buy you a curry and the first two drinks.
The evening will run from 8pm until 11pm.
Further details and tickets are available from the community office on 811262.
MORE mobile mast news: Following the news that the Portsmouth Estate is now not likely to release land for use by mobile phone operators, local campaigner Simon Preedy reports that this means that Orange, O2, T-Mobile and 3 will now have to look for alternative sites.
They are all looking for sites in this area and, without the Portsmouth land, may find it difficult to find locations that local residents will find acceptable.
Simon has been contacted by 3, which would like to arrange a meeting with him and local councillors to discuss the options.
If any Hatch Warren residents have views on the situation, and would like to talk to Simon, he can be contacted on 476352.
VOLUNTEERS needed: Hatch Warren has plenty of community-minded people who enjoy helping out on a voluntary basis for local groups and associations.
If you are someone who would like to volunteer, here's your chance.
On Saturday, May 8, from 1pm until 4pm, at the Walled Garden at Down Grange, Basingstoke, the parks and open spaces department is holding a Volunteers Event.
There will be lots of information about local groups who need volunteers and there will be representatives from these present, including the Hampshire Wildlife Trust, Basingstoke Conservation Volunteers and the health walk leaders.
Further details from Marilyn Davies on 845630.
