THE hit musical Starlight Express will be rolling into Southampton next year.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's rollerskating spectacular will be staged at The Mayflower as part of a national tour.
It will take to the stage from May 11 to June 18.
The epic show has been reworked and redesigned following the end of its 18-year run in the West End in 2002.
During that time it played to more than eight million people and took £140m at the box office. It was second only to Cats - currently on show at The Mayflower - as the world's longest-running musical.
The curtain finally fell in London in January 2002 to make way for the Bollywood-inspired musical Bombay Dreams.
The latest regional tour will have new lyrics by David Yazbek, who also composed the score for the musical version of The Full Monty.
