Gary Etheridge has been in fine form recently, winning two matches on Witherington Snake Lake.
His first success was in the Bank Holiday Monday Open, which saw him take a cracking 97lb 2oz bag of carp from peg 46 on corn and pellet with carp to 8lb.
He was followed home by Neil Tappin, with 65lb 10oz from peg 59, while third was Paul White (peg 61) with 59lb 20z and fourth Ian Goodfellow (peg 50) with 43lb 4oz.
The second open last Saturday saw Etheridge in the money again, fishing peg 81 and this time for 52lb with James Knight on peg 69 with 48lb 4oz for second.
Third was Haydon Meyers on peg 92 with 34lb and fourth Ian Goodfellow with 33lb 8oz.
Cormorants held a sweepstake on Witherington Farms Cottage and Sellwood Lakes with Dave Pool taking 64lb 4oz of carp on the waggler and pellet.
Rick Kajko came home second on 60lb 4oz, third was Richie Yeo on 60lb 4oz. Others: Kev Moulton 54lb 12oz, Clive Egerton 40lb 1oz, Al Cooper 39lb 12oz.
The Mosella Stoneham Thursday Evening Series held on the bottom lake saw Dave Self more than double the weight of runner-up Paul Sear, taking 51lb 14oz, which consisted of three carp for 18lb plus tench from peg 5 on the island using pole and pellet. Paul Sear took 25lb 1oz including one carp, tench and skimmer on the waggler and corn, third-placed Pete Newman took two carp for 20lb 14oz on the waggler and pellet. Others: Paul White 18lb 7oz, Siman Barber 16lb 9oz, Phil Clift 16lb 2oz.
TVAC held a club match on Nutsey Lake with match secretary Cliff Carbis winning with 30lb 12oz of tench and roach on the waggler and maggot. Davey Jones followed home second with 27lb 4oz of tench and roach, third was Nick Jones (24lb 6oz).
Others: Darren Stride 20lb 11oz, Alan Hillman 15lb 12oz, Gordon Warner 14lb 4oz.
Salmon Leap AC's Challenge Shield Match held on Manor Farm saw Mark Baker take 20lb 11oz for first place. The catch consisted of carp and tench on soft pellet and corn on the pole. Second was Jim Murray (16lb 5oz of carp and bream taken on the pole), third was Paul Lloyd (12lb 7oz of carp and bream on the pole) and Tony Haywood came next with 11lb of bream and carp on the pole.
