TRAIN hold-ups are looming this weekend as Network Rail carries out engineering works on parts of the system used by South West Trains.
A limited service will operate from London Waterloo and all services will be subject to retiming and additional stops.
On Saturday, services between London Waterloo and Weymouth will call additionally at Clapham Junc-tion, Basingstoke and Eastleigh.
The hourly service between London Waterloo and Poole will call additionally at Clapham Junction, Woking, Farnborough, Micheldever and Eastleigh.
The hourly service between London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour (via Eastleigh) will only operate between Winchester and Portsmouth Harbour.
The hourly semi-fast service between London Waterloo and Southampton Central will not operate.
On Sunday, services between London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour will call additionally at Surbiton until 4.15pm. From 4.15pm, the stopping service between London Waterloo and Bournemouth will call additionally at Swaythling and St Denys. Services between London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour will call additionally at Surbiton.
Engineering works are taking place between Portsmouth Harbour and Cosham/Havant on Sunday, prompting the following changes:
Buses will replace all trains between Hav-ant/Fareham and Portsmouth Harbour.
Early morning services between London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour will be diverted from Havant to start and terminate at Eastleigh.
Early morning services between Southampton Central and Portsmouth Harbour will be diverted from Cosham to start and terminate at Havant.
Bus services will operate Between Havant and Portsmouth Harbour and between Fareham and Portsmouth Harbour.
As bus travel takes longer than the normal train service, the timetable will be revised and passengers travelling to or from stations and routes affected should check times with National Rail Enquiries on 08457 484950.
