Landford Spiders Short Mat Bowls team defeated Winterslow Badgers in the Jock Dixon Cup Final held at Broughton Village Hall.
Jock Dixon was a former member of the Broughton Short Mat Bowls Association who passed away a few years ago.
In the Test Valley League, Broughton won by over 30 points.
Badgers needed to beat Broughton in their last match to finish second but they lost, meaning Landford were second, Badgers third and Wellow Growmore fourth.
The overall result of the two competitions was that the 2003 league winners (Spiders) become the 2004 cup winners and the 2003 cup winners (Broughton) were 2004 league winners.
Teams of at least six players within the area who have access to two short mat bowls mats and are interested in joining the Test Valley League from September can write to Nigel Fox, Timberley, Witt Road, Winterrslow, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP5 1PL.
