COMBINE the glamour of 1950s Hollywood and the grandeur of Ancient Greece and you have got the opening production of Chichester Festival theatre's new season.
Produced in the UK for the first time, Cole Porter's musical Out of This World tells the story of Jupiter's infatuation with Hollywood movie star Helen Vance.
A powerful rogue, Jupiter thinks he can get any woman he likes - but his wife has other plans.
The songs in this light-hearted musical by the composer of Kiss Me Kate and and Anything Goes are so typically Porter that you may feel like you already know them.
Actress Anne Reid, who plays Jupiter's wife Juno, is no stranger to playing frustrated wives.
Fans of Coronation Street will remember her best as Val Barlow, wife to Ken, who met her end when she was electrocuted by a faulty hairdryer.
Other cast members include Nicolas Colicos as Jupiter and Fiona Dunn as Helen.
Out of This World is at the theatre from Thursday April 29 until Saturday September 25.
Other new season productions include A Midsummer Night's Dream (May 8-September 23), Just Go (June 11-September 25), inspired by the tales of Rudyard Kipling, and The Master and Margarita (July 23-September 24), based on the acclaimed Russian novel.
Tickets cost from £9. Box office: 01243 781312.
