Seventh-placed Fareham Town were indebted to second-half strike from Rob Cox for their 1-0 win away at Portland United.
The only goal of the game came midway through the second period when Cox latched onto Lee Webber's defence-splitting through ball and he rounded the keeper to grab all three points.
"We've got the win but more importantly we've come through the match unscathed injury wise.
"We're looking towards Farnborough Town in the Hampshire Senior Cup final on Wednesday week and we don't want anyone missing out now," said Fareham boss Jon Gittens.
