It's sad to see four former Dell boys fighting for their Premiership lives.
I spoke to one of them, Kevin Keegan, just before he returned to the City of Manchester ground after problems with his back.
He has suffered for a few years now, but it got so serious that a top surgeon actually told him that from dealing with hundreds of cases each year, Kevin's type of problem would only crop up once or twice.
I know for a fact that it has been so serious that he couldn't move his left leg and although not quite 100 per cent now, he feels the need to get back among the players. Kevin likes to join in with shooting and head tennis, etc, but he'll have to curtail the physical side. There's no doubt, though, that his presence among the players will ensure they gather enough points for survival.
Our former manager, Graeme Souness, is still looking anxiously over his shoulder at Blackburn while another Dell connection, Dave Jones, appears unable to avoid the dreaded drop at Wolves.
I said earlier in the season that fourth bottom would be successful for Dave and the other two promoted sides, no matter how ambitious they might have felt, and I'm sure both Dave and another ex-Saint, Micky Adams, would settle for that now.
Let's hopes it isn't a trio of ex-Dell boys who go down together.
It's just as well that Glenn Hoddle left Tottenham!
Right now I think Leicester and Wolves are down and that Leeds might join them.
