SHERFIELD Fete: Plans are coming together to make this year's fete bigger and better than ever.
Sandy Johnston said: "There will be no horses this time, but we are having a children's farm, sponsored by GEMS. There will also be Kidz Quadz on a track, a fire engine and a huge slide."
Sandy added: "Please get your entries for the dog show in nice and early."
Look out for forms in the Loddon Link, Post Office and The Shop. June 12 isn't far away.
EVERGREENS: The village hall was packed last weekend when the Evergreens held a Spring Fair.
Jean Wright said: "There were more there than usual and we are very pleased about that."
On Tuesday, the Evergreens had an Easter lunch at The Four Horseshoes.
On Monday, April 5, the Evergreens had a talk given by Annette Hill, who shared her wartime memories. Annette was one of 17 women ferry pilots.
Jean said: "We were all enthralled and there were lots of questions after the talk was finished."
LIBRARY: The mobile library will be visiting the village on Thursday.
It stops at Carpenters Close at 1.15pm, Goddards Close at 1.55pm and will be at the village hall from 2.15pm to 2.40pm.
ANTIQUES and music come together in aid of St Michael's Hospice at the golf club on Wednesday, April 28.
The "Days Gone By" fundraiser will give guests a chance to examine valuable items, enjoy a meal and listen to the voices of Perfectly Marvellous.
Tickets cost £17.50, including a welcome drink, supper and the chance to have an item valued.
