FUN can be had for all the family this Saturday at a parish plan open day to discuss the future of St Mary Bourne.

Villagers will be privy to the results of a parish questionnaire on how the community would like to see the area develop in the future.

For the young and young-at-heart, there will be the chance to be entertained by a magician from the Magic Circle at 2pm.

The day begins at 10am outside the Village Centre when a parish spring cleaning event will blitz the village of unsightly litter.

Children can take part in a quiz and meet 'General Waste', the big green bear.

One of the event's organisers, Ruth Widen, said: "The day is designed to get as much local participation as possible and all views, both positive and negative, will be very welcome."

Feedback from the day will be used to draw up a draft Village Design statement for St Mary Bourne.

Entry is free from 10am to 4pm and refreshments are provided. For more information, phone Ruth on 01264 738250.
