Barker Son and Isherwood Solicitors' sponsorship of Longparish cricket Club in 2003 was a trial partnership which took both organisations into new and uncharted waters.
Neither could have expected the partnership to have been as fruitful as it was, but had no hesitation in sealing an agreement for a further year.
Their partnership for 'the development of cricket at Longparish', was sealed at the Parish Ground on Wednesday last when Clive Holland, from Barker Son and Isherwood, presented new shirts to club captain Paul Blackmore and players.
Longparish Cricket Club achieved promotion to the Hampshire County Division 4 during 2003 and grew to such an extent that they will run a Second XI this season for the first time since 1995.
