GOSPORT BOROUGH strengthened their grip on third place by completing a season's double over Fareham at Cams Alders.
Fittingly it was former Town player who scored the winner - Ian Rew capitalising in the 84th minute after Jon Gittens' men had failed to clear a corner.
"It's always nice to put one over on Fareham," said Borough's assistant boss Gary Lee. "I'm not sure how much the players enjoy it because they're all friends who go drinking together, but I know the supporters do!
"It was a typical derby game, full of blood and guts, but we created the better chances."
