MONEYFIELDS 'bad boy' James Dunk can virtually wave goodbye to next season after collecting his third red card of the season in a 5-0 home humiliation by Alton Town.

The hot-headed midfielder/defender was red-carded two minutes from time for spitting at an opponent.

Dunk - a recent target of Bashley - is already awaiting a ban for his second sending off of the season which carries the extra punishment of continuing misconduct.

"He could be banned for well over 100 days after this," said Moneyfields secretary Paul Lipscombe. "But there's no defence for spitting. It's a dirty, filthy thing to do.

"We were absolutely awful today."

For Alton, their biggest win of the season virtually assures them of remaining in the Wessex top flight next season.

"We're celebrating with a McDonald's in Petersfield - that's the extent of our joy!" smiled chairman Jim McKell after watching Gary Bennett (2), Dave Bridger (2) and John Mutch put the Portsmouth side to the sword.

"It was a good all-round performance and a big relief," McKell added. "Moneyfields didn't really threaten us, which was a bit surprising."
