Lymington & New Milton moved clear into fourth place by avenging their 2-1 Christmas defeat at Brockenhurst with the same scoreline at Fawcett's Field last night.
Ex-Badger Ben Thomson capitalised on a goalkeeping mistake to wipe out Dominic Taylor's 28th-minute Brock opener.
The Linnets settled the issue midway through the second half when Kevin Reacord met Kevin James's cross with a looping header over the keeper.
Although Lymington boss Ian Robinson was pleased to get his own back on the Badgers, he said: "It should have been more. We missed a lot of chances."
Forest neighbours Christchurch had second-half goals from Scott Joyce and James Bailey-Pearce to thank for their 2-0 home win over Bournemouth Poppies.
