SHE'S CONQUERED the Cederberg Mountains in South Africa, she's heading for the Great Wall of China in September - and now Southampton mum, Joyce Cameron is helping to give a Southampton pub a new name.
The 45-year-old supermarket driver from Shirley needs to raise cash fast for her charity trek and has organised an Easter egg raffle at The Winston Hotel on Hill Lane - where punters can make suggestions for a catchy new pub name.
All drinkers need to do is buy a raffle ticket before the draw at 6pm today and write their ideas on the back of their tickets.
All the proceeds will go towards helping Joyce raise the £2,800 she needs for her British Red Cross trip - the charity she loyally supports.
Joyce, of Bellemoor Road, said: "It's important to me to do what I can for the charity and that's why I can't wait to get out to China and take up the challenge.
"Last year's trek was an amazing experience. We thought the pub raffle would be a good idea and a bit of fun."
After a whole new look and an extension on the pub, landlord Steve Eyers thought it was time for a change, and his bar manager Paul Glass came up with the idea of getting the customers involved through Joyce's raffle.
Paul, 27, said: "We thought it would be a great way to get some of the customers in on the task because we were finding it hard ourselves, while helping to support a good cause."
Joyce will also be at the Tesco store in Tebourba Way, Millbrook, to sell more raffle tickets for Easter eggs just in time for Easter Sunday.
