IF YOU have trouble sitting quietly in your seat when you go to see a show, The Anvil has the perfect thing for you.
Every audience member at the Power of the Drum concert will be given an African drum and will become a performer in the show.
This is the UK's largest interactive show of its kind and received standing ovations and a five-star rating at last year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The audience will be guided through a sequence of powerful African rhythms, learning to drum at the same time.
And luckily, group drumming is so easy to pick up that you don't have to have any musical talent to be able to join in.
As well as having a fun night out, theatregoers will benefit physically and mentally from the experience - drumming is a proven stress-reliever which improves mood, re-energises and relaxes the mind and body.
The concert, which is being staged by The Drum Caf is being held in aid of the Youth Clubs of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to help raise £30,000 for disadvantaged young people throughout the region.
April 14, The Anvil, Basingstoke. Tickets: from £15. Box office: 01256 844244.
