ACTOR David Benson, known for his portrayals of Noel Coward, comes to Basingstoke's Central Studio on Friday, June 11, from 7.45pm.
However, he's not performing as Coward but as his other speciality, Kenneth Williams, in Think No Evil Of Us - My Life With Kenneth Williams.
The much-revered and lamented comedy actor Kenneth Williams is, of course, remembered best for his countless performances in the Carry On films, as well as for his stage performances and appearances on chat shows, where he was always an hilarious guest.
This portrayal has been hailed by Kenneth's friends and colleagues, including Barbara Windsor, Nicholas Parsons, Sheila Hancock, Barry Took and Dame Maggie Smith, and is considered both highly accurate and a testament to a masterpiece of modern theatre.
Both in mannerism and looks, Benson brings to this show an accurate presentation, appealing to audiences from a wide age range, including those not familiar with Williams' work.
Tickets, priced £10, with concessions available for OAPs, members, students and children under 16, are available from the box office on 01256 418318.
