PETE Storey: Gimme a length of that hair... just like the musical, that's what Pete Storey is preparing to do, in aid of the Rotherwick Scouts!
Many will know Pete's long, flowing locks and luxurious beard, but the time has come for a clean sweep.
There's a dinner for two at the Falcon for the lucky person who can guess the length of his ponytail before it comes off!
It's all happening at the Falcon on Easter Monday afternoon, at a time yet to be determined - presumably when Pete can screw up the courage!
Sponsorship forms are available in both pubs over the weekend, and many thanks to Andy and Lindy Francis for not only providing the venue but the competition prize.
Thanks also, of course, to Pete for supporting our young people in such a personal way!
LOOK OUT: On yer bike... now that the schools have broken up for Easter, keep an eye peeled for the little ones up and down the village, both walking and riding!
HELP: Whitewater School needs a new volunteer cycling instructor as our former stalwart has retired with honours.
If you would be interested in training to teach the Class 5 children cycling proficiency, course dates are as follows: April 27, May 5, 13, 19, 24, 27 and June 9.
These meetings start at 6.45pm and close at around 9.30pm.
You need only attend one session - perhaps you and a friend could do it together?
Have a think over Easter and let the school office know after the holidays.
He is risen! Happy Easter.
