PARISH council news: Two of the main talking points were litter control/management and A33 traffic issues, especially problems relating to the Thornhill lights.
A resident attending the meeting felt that there was no evidence of serious action by the parish council to clear litter (including a mattress dumped and remaining for many weeks in Petty's Brook).
Continued "near misses" at the A33 traffic lights were felt to be worthy of urgent attention by Hampshire County Council. Similarly, urgent action was also sought to address the new problems as a result of removal of the bus lay-by outside the village hall, leading to some impatient and particularly foolhardy drivers passing parked buses on a blind bend and, not infrequently, passing on the wrong side of the nearby traffic islands!
