STAFF at Southampton's archaeology museum in Winkle Street have gone potty this week.
However, city residents need not fear for their sanity.
They are playing host to a ceramics exhibition, where members of the Southern Ceramic Group will be showing off their wares - and contrasting their pots with examples created by people long ago.
The free exhibition runs until Sunday, June 20 and features work by about 15 members of the Southern Ceramic Group.
Items on show range from small decorative exhibits to brightly decorated functional ware and rugged garden pots.
The display also features smoke-fired and raku ware.
By displaying their work alongside archaeological ceramics, the potters hope to demonstrate how ancient methods of making, decorating and firing are still being used to this day. Further details of the exhibition are available from Nicky Stecker, exhibition officer on 023 8063 5904.
