YOUNGSTERS from Shirley Warren Primary School in Southampton bombarded the judges of their Easter colouring-in competition with a wealth of beautiful pictures that made deciding the winners no easy task.
From Easter egg designs to thoughtful drawings with a religious meaning, the pupils really put their hearts into creating their Easter masterpieces. Winners were presented with an Easter egg by Southampton Mayor Councillor Parvin Damani MBE at a special assembly while the rest of the children were treated to crme eggs from the Easter bunny himself. Local funeral director, Kevin Dixey, who organised and helped judge the event, said: "The standard of drawings was excellent. Hopefully we can do it again next year."
Head teacher Lynne Sproson said: "The drawings were brilliant and they were really excited to meet the Easter Bunny.
