Saints duo Neil McCann and Stephen Crainey return to Fratton Park with the reserve team tonight - just three weeks after the most disappointing day of the club's season so far.
The Scottish pair - who played for their country against Romania last Wednesday - both played in Saints' 1-0 defeat at Fratton Park on March 21 and are expected to start for Steve Wigley's reserve team tonight.
Fellow first team squad members Brett Ormerod, Darren Kenton, Leandre Griffit and Paul Smith.
Reserve team boss Wigley, who played for Pompey as a right winger for four years, was alongside Paul Sturrock in the away dugout at Fratton Park last month.
He said: "That game was the one disappointing aspect of the last couple of months.
"Since then we've shown that it was just a blip, we've put it behind us.
"It was difficult for the supporters but we've moved on.
"We want to beat Portsmouth like we want to beat every other reserve team.
"There won't be the same intensity but it's another opportunity for those senior players who haven't played much recently to get 90 minutes."
Sebastien Schemmel is expected to be the only first teamer in a young Pompey side.
Kick off is at 7pm and admission is for Pompey season ticket holders only.
Fratton Park stadium manager Mick Coleman said: "We agreed not to let away fans to either reserve game at the start of the season."
