CAROLE BAKER was City of Southampton's top performer in the Basingstoke Masters Open Meet.
She won the Ladies Individual Medley (1.27.12), the 50m Freestyle (34.37) and the 50m Butterfly (39.14). She was also second in 50m Breaststroke (46.95), 50m Backstroke (41.72) and the 25m Butterfly (16.07).
Baker's displays helped City finished fifth out of 34 teams.
Louise Walker won the 50m Backstroke (41.06) and 25m Freestyle (16.02) and was second in the 50m Freestyle (34.88).
Carole Pierce was second in the 50m Butterfly (39.97) and 25m Freestyle (15.42) and third in the 50m Freestyle in 34.05.
Andrew Moore, Jane Spencer, Kumi Moore, Ann Spelman, Katrina Lloyd, Esme Clark and Tom Wells did well on their debuts.

City of Southampton Swimming club travelled to Basingstoke for round one of the Hants & South Coast Premier League and recorded a superb 63 personal best times.
Hannah Husband, Isobel Lyon-Maris, Nicky Humphrey, Natasha Saunders, Sabrina Thorn, Owen Marshall and Dale Hansford did well in their first major gala.
