SALISBURY proved it is too early to write-off any team in the scramble for a top-seven finish, when a combination of other results and a solid 3-0 win at Erith & Belvedere put them back on track with their best performance for some time.
After Erith striker Akpo Sodje missed a simple chance on 23 minutes, Salisbury took control, a superb finish from Matt Tubbs on 42 minutes giving them the lead.
The second period was even better with a piece of Craig Davis magic set ting up Tubbs for his second on 51 minutes.
A fine save from Salisbury goalkeeper Kevin Sawyer kept out a Sodje effort on 55 minutes but the irrepressible Tubbs forced Erith keeper Clark Hunt to tip over a 61st-minute free kick.
Two minutes later the Whites got their third when the impressive Glenn Howes blasted in a free-kick. Sawyer earned a clean sheet for the Whites with a point-blank save from Darren Fox just before the end.
Assistant manager Tom Killick said afterwards: "We played very well today with the midfield three looking good with the return of Wayne Turk. We defended well and also looked lively up front against a physically strong side.
"We passed the ball well especially in the second half and hopefully this performance will put us in good spirits for our game at home to Fisher."
