A PAIR of Hampshire sixth formers are star-struck after they appeared in a top boy band's number one video.
Peter Symonds students Hayley Fitzhenry, 17, and Sophie Laybourn, 16, took part in the shoot for Busted's new single Who's David? which hit the top spot last Sunday.
The girls, who are studying at Peter Symonds College in Winchester, spent all day at Wembley Arena with other fans from 11am to 7pm, rocking to the sound of the band which won two Brit awards last week.
Media Studies student Hayley, said: "It's really cool that they are number one and I can actually see myself in a bit of the video. The day was really exciting, despite the hanging around for retakes. We have been fans since they first started, so probably for about a year."
Three hundred fans took part in the shoot after registering their interest on the band's website. The crowd scenes are only featured in one part of the video, which meant that the girls heard the same part of the song over and over again but they did not mind.
"They wanted as many people as possible to go along," said Hayley.
"Everyone really enjoyed themselves. We had to do different moves like swaying, crowd surfing and jumping around."
Inspired by the day, Hayley added: "It will be really useful for my Media and Business studies course. I now know that I want to work for a record or video company. It was a really good experience."
