TWO living legends of 60s soccer will be exchanging the stadium for the theatre next week. Football heroes Jimmy Greaves and George Best will be joined on stage at The Mayflower by former Saints favourite Matt Le Tissier for an evening of entertainment, humour and chat with the audience.
The evening will be kicked off by Jimmy Greaves, the former England, Spurs and Chelsea star, who will recount tales from his football-playing days.
Manchester United and Northern Ireland legend George Best, the man described by Sir Alex Ferguson as 'unquestionably the greatest', will then take centre stage to share anecdotes about his colourful life.
Local hero Matt Le Tissier will also share stories about his glory days as Southampton's favourite player.
The show will be a great evening out for all football fans, whatever team you support.
See tomorrow's Weekend Magazine, free with The Daily Echo, for an exclusive interview with Jimmy Greaves.
5th February, The Mayflower, Southampton. Performance: 7.30pm. Tickets: from £19.50.
Box office: 023 8071 1811.
