THE Greyhound in Stockbridge is one of only two pubs in Britain to be new winners of the coveted Michelin Food Star in its 2004 edition.
Of the 5,621 listings in the guide only a handful are given this ultimate accolade of excellence.
The award is the fulfillment of a childhood dream for chef patron of the Greyhound Darron Bunn, known to his friends as Bunny.
The 30-year-old chef from Sutton Scotney has developed the cuisine over little more than a year.
Having previously worked for six years for internationally renowned Marco Pierre White in London, he took the big step of setting up a kitchen of his own. Bunny said: "This is the ultimate accolade - the big one.
"It hasn't really sunk in yet. I skipped around the kitchen when I got the news, then I got drunk.
