MOTORISTS in the region are set to have their patience tested once again by two A303 closures in the next two weeks.
The Highways Authority will close the A303 between the Countess Roundabout, Amesbury and Cholderton to allow a new bridge to be built at Solstice Park.
The section of the A303 will be closed from 10pm today to 6am on Monday.
Next weekend, the same section will be closed from 10pm on Friday to 6am on Monday. The diversion route for traffic heading east is to leave the A303 at Longbar-row, follow the A360 to Salisbury, on to the A36 then the A338, A30 and A343 back to Andover.
Heading west, traffic will be diverted on to the A343 at Andover, on to the A30, A338 and then the A36 through Salisbury and Wilton to rejoin the A303 at Wylye.
