After only picking up one point from their last two outings, Gosport Borough returned to winning ways with a 1-0 home victory against Thatcham Town.
Gosport keeper Mark Brown saved a penalty before Boro's Vase hero Fraser Quirke headed home Stuart Hensman's cross from six yards after 65 minutes.
Boro assistant manager Gary Lee said: "Thatcham made it very difficult for us but I thought we deserved the victory in the end.
"Confidence is sky high for tomorrow night's big game at Winchester City."
