EMMERDALE'S legendary baddie Chris Tate, television actor Peter Amory, will head a cast of familiar actors in the thriller Trap for a Lonely Man at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre from February 9 to 14.

Set in the French Alps, in Trap Amory will take the role of Daniel Corban in his first stage drama since leaving the soap.

Set in an isolated chalet, Daniel has lost his wife - but also appears to be losing his mind.

A priest claims to have found Madam Corban, but when she appears at the chalet, Daniel is shocked to discover that the woman is not his wife.

Daniel calls in the police - but witnesses claim that the woman actually is Madam Corban.

Daniel believes he is facing a conspiracy as there is an inheritance at stake - can he prove it?

Tension and mystery permeate this thriller through to the final dramatic conclusion.

Peter Amory is joined by Sally Ann Matthews, well-known as Jenny Bradley in Coronation Street, Geoffrey Davies from Doctor in the House and familiar television and stage actor Michael Tudor Barnes.

Trap for a Lonely Man was written by Robert Thomas and has been directed by Ian Dickens.
