EX-SAINTS striker Kevin Davies is heading back to Cardiff - and this time he aims to play there!
Davies missed out on a place in Saints' FA Cup Final 16 last May, but last night was celebrating as Bolton booked their place in next month's Carling Cup final.
Speaking after Bolton's 2-0 defeat at Aston Villa had seen them squeeze through 5-4 on aggregate, he said: "It is a job done and Bolton are through - I can't wait to get there,
"After the first goal, I thought, 'here we go' - but we defended well and then they had a man sent off and we battled."
On his manager Sam Allardyce, Davies reflected: "He took a chance on me.
"I have worked hard, played in every league game and we have had a good cup run - I am going to enjoy this.
"It is a cup final and anyone can win it on the day."
