The Hampshire Athletics Association are staging the Hampshire Road Relay Championships on Southampton Common on Sunday, March 14 (10am).
The event will comprise three age categories, starting with a ladies' (minimum age 17) 4x5.7K race, kicking off at 10am. That will be followed at 12 noon by a senior men's (minimum age 17) 6x5.7K race and a veteran-40 men's 4x5.7K event.
In addition there will be a universities/colleges development relay for over-16s, starting at 10am.
The course runs on public paths around the common and is completely traffic free.
All competing clubs must be affiliated to the Hampshire AA and runners must be either Hampshire born or have resided in the county for the preceding nine months. They must not have competed in another county's championships in the current calendar year. Runners must only compete for their first claim club. No second claim runners will be accepted.
The cost per team is £12 for ladies and veteran men (£6 for extra teams) and £18 for senior men (£10 for extra teams). Closing date for entries is February 28.
