SOUTHAMPTON'S WestQuay has scooped a top award for its car park.
The south's top shopping spot has picked up the Association of Town Centre Management Award for parking facilities.
The centre boasts more than 4,000 well-lit spaces in two multi-storeys with quick access to the shops.
John Lewis, Marks & Spencer and Waitrose also offer a free customer collection point service to shoppers wishing to pick up their heavy bags later.
The venue won judges' praise in a number of categories - including price, technology and security.
They also said it met the concerns of female drivers and people who are mobility impaired.
WestQuay is fitted with the latest hi-tech security system, which provides 24-hour CCTV surveillance.
Andy Collyer, customer rel-ationship manager at WestQuay, said: "We are delighted to collect this award which praises the quality of our parking facilities and our ability to provide shoppers with accessible and safe car parks."
